Travelling about 60 km to the West of An Giang province, there is one of the most- visit destinations named Sam Mountain
Sam Mountain (241 m) is the highest mountain in the Mekong Delta. Under Nguyen King, the mountain belongs to Vinh Te commune, An Giang province. It is the last isolated mountains of The South Vietnam.
On the way there, you can enjoy the sights of the two rice fields along the road, and drop by for a short visit to a small Khmer village. You will have a short walk up on the mountain side to see the daily life of mountain people.
When standing on the highest peak of Da Dung mountain, which is about 6 km far from Sam Mountain, visitors will see a Crab’s image is located in the middle of the filed. Its weather is temperate as one side is the sea and the other is field.
There are many historical and cultural monuments were recognized by state such as: Tay An pagoda, Ba Chua Xu temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, Hang Pagoda, etc. Some temples were built according to the Cambodia’s architect.
Sam Mountain is really a visit-worthy spot for pilgrims from Vietnam and abroad.
